The funeral for Lee W. Beckey, 81,141 S. 19th, will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Guy R. Ryan Sons Mortuary, The Rev. James Elliott officiating. Graveside services will be conducted by the Odd Fellows Lodge at Gypsum Hill cemetery.
Mr. Beckey died at midnight Friday at St. John's Hospital. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Beckey farmed seven miles west of Salina on State Street before moving into the city.
He was a member of the Woodmen's Lodge and, for more than 59 years, of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was born March 17, 1882, at Brookville.
He is survived by the widow, Edith; a son, George E., 821 Charles; two daughters, Mrs. Neva J. Cowan, San Jose, California and Mrs. Ruth I Howey, Burbank, California; four step-daughters, Mrs. Mabel Brady, 1829 Highland; Mrs. Juanita Bybel, Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Floyd Yaussi, Longmont, Colorado and Mrs. Steve Taylor, Ft. Morgan, Colorado; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Funeral home
