WENONA: Frieda Appleton, 93, formerly of Wenona, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 1991, at Sandalwood Nursing Home, Wheaton, IL.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the Thierry Funeral Home, Wenona, the Rev. Jerome Morrissey officiating.
Burial will be in Wenona Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born February 6, 1898, in Rutland, IL, the daughter of Nicholas and Barbara Schurr Schupp. She married Paul E. Appleton. He died June 21, 1957.
Survivors include a number of grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Clara Bierwirth of Ottawa, IL; and a brother, Herman Schupp of Norway.
A daughter preceded her in death.
