Lehigh - Magdaliene LaRue Lumsden, 78, of Lehigh, died Jan. 5, 1994 at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, after a sudden illness.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Dayton, with the Rev. Thomas Munn officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at Carson Funeral Home, Dayton. There will be a scripture service at 7 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include a son, Monte Lumsden, Marion; daughter, Lynette, Rockford; three grandsons; one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Morris.
Magdaline Dugger was born April 11, 1915 at Lehigh. She graduated from Lehigh High School in 1933. She attended Iowa State Teachers College for one year.
Maggie married Morris Lumsden in February 1934 at Lehigh where the couple lived. She worked for Morrie's Grocery for more than 30 years.
She was a member of St. Agnes altar society, Lehigh Golden Memories Club, FF Club and the birthday club. She was also on the Lehigh Alumni board.
