Rosalie P. Gibbons died Tuesday afternoon in Crest Nursing Home.

She was born in Butte, one of twin daughters, on March 21, 1920, to Patrick and Elizabeth (Cummings) Gibbons.

Rosalie was educated in local schools, graduating from Butte High. After graduation, she attended Butte Business College. She was employed by the draft board during World War II. Rosalie will always be remembered for her hard work and dedication to the Butte-Silver Bow Housing Authority, from which she retired in July 1990. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John and Ed Shea, and sister, Elizabeth Holmstrup, who died in January.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, godchild, and longtime friends [survivor's names omitted].

Friends and relatives are asked to join the family after 5 p.m. Thursday in the Duggan Dolan Mortuary Chapel, with the parish rosary recited at 7 p.m. Services start at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the mortuary chapel, proceeding to St. Patrick's Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery.
