Herbert F. Parker, 64, died Tuesday night at McFarland Hospital. He was a sheet metal worker at AVCO in Nashville. A resident of West Main Street in Watertown, Mr. Parker was a native of Wilson County. He was born July 31, 1907. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irene Dedman Parker; a daughter, Mrs. James Lackey, Mt. Juliet; two sons, J. C. Parker, Union Hill and Bobby Parker, Chattanooga; two step-daughters, Mrs. Clyde Wooden, Watertown and Mrs. Bill Guthrie, Chattanooga; three step-sons, Lynn Johnson of Watertown, Jerry Johnson of Tunnel Hill, Ga. and Jimmy Johnson, U. S. Navy, England; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Howard, Lebanon; a brother, Alvin Parker, Old Hickory and 22 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Donald Owens. He will be assisted by the Rev. Joseph Trybone. Burial will be in the Jones Hill Cemetery. Time and place of the services has not yet been determined. Nave's Funeral Home, Watertown, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Parker was a member of the Round Lick Baptist Church.
