Julia A. Gaither, 85, of the 800 block of 15th St., died April 24, 1990, in a hospital.

Mrs. Gaither, a native of Princess Anne County, was the widow of John Gaither. She was a member of A Brighter Star Church of God in Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Ashby and Lydia Tyson, both of Norfolk, and Lisa Davis of Virginia Beach; a son, Richard Cherry of Virginia Beach; and 11 grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ by the Rev. Y.D. Thoroughgood. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at 10 a.m. Friday in Twilight Funeral Home and at noon Saturday at the residence for the procession to the church.
