Belford, with whom he practiced law for 33 years under the firm name of Belford and Belford before she was appointed to the bench; they were married 50 years. He recently retired from the practice of law in Fall River after 50 years. Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Kyle Belford Platnico and her husband, Matthew, of New York City; and two grandchildren.
