Robert E. Hillyer, 89, Marion, passed away Monday, Nov. 27 in Marion.
He was born Sept. 30, 1928 in Muncie, and married Geraldine Eastes Dec. 10, 1949. She survives.
Mr. Hillyer was a Navy Veteran and served aboard the U.S.S. Monroe during the Korean Conflict. He loved his country and those who served it.
He was a supervisor at Active Products for 15 years, and worked in maintenance at Marion Community Schools for 13 years, retiring in March 1990.
Additional survivors include his daughters, Mary (John) Diskey, Fairmount, and Jeanine Sollars, Marion; three grand children; and one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Sue; and sisters, Evelyn Mitchell, and Viola Biscomb.
