Robert Graue was born on May 14, 1897, in Lincoln County, Missouri, the fourth of eleven children of parents August John Graue and Ida Schroer Graue. He married Rosa Hase in 1926 in Marthasville, Missouri.
The family moved to Audrain County to farm in 1932 and were members of the Trinity United Church of Christ.
He had two children, Clifford and Dorothy.
He died on April 26, 1975, at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Funeral services were handled by the Arnold Funeral Home.
