OBITUARY
The remains of C.E. Shepherd, of Perry, were shipped to that place this morning on the Santa Fe. From Perry the body will be taken to Hippo, Mo., for final interment. Mr. Shepherd submitted several days ago to an operation for appendicitis and seemed to be convalescing nicely until he suffered a relapse yesterday afternoon from the effects of which he died last night. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, members of which order accompanied the body to the station and will have charge of the funeral service in Missouri.
