Joseph S. Abbate Jr., age 61 of Wonder Lake passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, Tuesday December 12, 2017.
Joseph was the owner of The American Academy of Computer Training and Technology from 1991-2015. He was a gifted musician and a worship leader at various churches throughout McHenry County over the past 20 years. He was a passionate tropical fish breeder and a member of Greater Chicago Cichlid Association.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Roxane; beloved children, Samantha and Joshua; sister, Jo Anne Abbate, brother, Dr. Samuel (Anne) Abbate; niece Alyssa Lorenz and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 beginning at 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a 7:30 prayer service at The Orchard Church McHenry 768 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry 815-385-3410. Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Friday December 15, 2017 at The Orchard Church McHenry with a luncheon at the church immediately following the service. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to The Orchard Church in Joseph's name. Interment will be private at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights after the luncheon.
