He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anna Alberes; daughters, Roxanne Olmstead (Sam) and Jane Alberes; brothers, Ronald Alberes and Mason Alberes; grandchildren, Cameron Alberes, Jennifer Lamar, Matthew Billiot, Brittany Billiot, Kylie Grizaffi, and Emily Claire Alfred; and great grandchildren, Alexis, Lindsey, Elise, and Victoria Lamar.
He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Alberes, Jr.; parents Freddie and Gretrude Blouin Alberes; and a grandson, Javin Olmstead.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6279 Hwy 70 N, Belle Rose, 70341 from 9 am until memorial service at 11 am. Burial will follow service at the Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery, in Belle River.
