Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Carolyn East Marker, 88, of Glencoe, who passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2017. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Carolyn was Head Teller at American National Bank for many years. In 1960, Carolyn and her husband Charles purchased an existing business, Rainbow Hardware. In 1962, they moved to a new location purchased from J.O. Morgan Sr., which was known as Marker's of Clubview. At the time of her death, Carolyn resided with her son, Perry, in Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Marker; sister, Mary E. Wells; brother, Ted East; father, Charles A. East; and mother, Josie Lee East.
Carolyn is survived by her son and family; and other relatives.
