Marie Rose Aaby, age 100, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017, in River Bluff Nursing Home. She was born February 3, 1917, in Independence, Louisiana, the daughter of Carl and Rose (Gulotta) Pumilia.

Marie married Arthur J.P. Aaby in Rockford on June 14, 1952. He passed away on April 1, 1992. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survived by: her son, David Aaby; and several nieces and nephews.

Marie was predeceased by: parents; husband; four brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
