COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 12/21/2017.
Antoinette (Toni) Breckel Hortenbury, 75. She was born in Louisville, KY to the late Lawrence G. Breckel Sr. and Antoinette Baker Breckel. She was member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and also a past member of The Cathedral of the Assumption for many years. She retired from the Jewish Hospital after 40 years of service. She was part of the early heart surgery nursing staff. She is preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence George Jr., sister, Dorothy Lambert; and brother-in-laws, Luke Carver, Ernest Meeks, Joe Zwischenberger; and sister-in-laws, Patty Breckel and Virginia Breckel. She is survived by her loving husband of thirteen years, Stephen David Hortenbury. She is survived by brothers, Charles, (Eloise), Joseph (Joan), Louis, Bernard; sisters, Mary Catherine Carver, Marilyn Meeks, Barbara Zwischenberger, Joan Herp (Don) and Paula Phillips (Rex); brother-in-law, Frank Lambert; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Doddie) Breckel. Visitation at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven on Thursday 2-8 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary 10 A.M Friday followed by entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to donor's request or Hosparus of Louisville.
