Charles W. Bealdes was killed last week in St. Louis by being electrocuted. Beadles was a lineman and was stringing a lighting wire when he touched a "live" electric wire and received 2300 volts. He was pulled from the charged wire by fellow workmen who placed a rope around the body and pulled it away. His death was instant. Deceased was born in Velpen, 11-20-1880 and was 38 years 9 months and 28 days old. He was the son of William C. and Mary E. Beadles. His boyhood days were spent in Velpen where he is well known. Surviving are the parents, the widow and three children. The children are Harry aged 15, Caryle 14, and Mary Catherine, 10. Three brothers, Glenn, Clyde and Forrest and three sisters Mrs. Effie Broadwell of St. Louis, Mrs. Daisy Tools of Princeton and Mrs. Lillian Griffith of Seattle, Wash. The funeral of the unfortunate man was held in St. Louis Saturday with burial there.
