MATTOON -- Lois May Abbott, age 70, of Mattoon passed away at 8:42 a.m. on Tuesday, December 09, 2014 at Mattoon Healthcare.
Funeral Services honoring her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Schilling Funeral Home, 1301 Charleston Avenue, Mattoon, IL with Reverend Joe Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Friday.
Lois was born on June 2, 1944 the daughter of Jim and Helen (Morton) Ruland. She married Roger Abbott on December 28, 1964. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2008.
Survivors include her loving daughter Mary (Charles) Degironne of Mattoon, IL; granddaughters Ashley (Myles) Connour and Alana Degironne both of Mattoon, IL; great grandson Hunter Connour of Mattoon, IL; sisters, Donna (David) Chyma of East Moline, IL and Iona (George) Gollick of AZ; numerous nieces and nephews; special feline friend, Tasha. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Lana Powers.
