Roy J. Milner, 84, and Betty R. Milner, 81, of Oklahoma City, passed away Dec. 19, 2017, at their home. Roy was born Nov. 30, 1933, in Oklahoma City, the son of Arnold Milner and Della (Klingensmith) and Gilbert Kelly. He had lived in the area most of his life and retired from the City of Oklahoma City, having served as an Inspector for the Oklahoma City Water Department for 40 years. Roy enjoyed fishing, going to the YMCA and the casino. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Milner; and sisters, Helen Cosper and Jodel Reynolds. Betty was born Sept. 11, 1936, in Larkin, AR, the daughter of Clarence and Alma Dowdle Byrd. Betty had lived in the area most of her life and had worked as a secretary for an automotive distributor. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and playing games on her Kindle. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, J.B. Byrd, Cleo Byrd, Bill Byrd, and Gale Byrd. Roy and Betty were united in marriage on May 1, 1954, in Oklahoma City and shared 63 years together. They were jointly preceded in death by their son, Neley Milner; and their faithful companion, Leo. They are survived by their daughter, Jeanetta Servos & husband Philip, of Yukon; grandchildren, Jonathan Milner, Renee Orlich & husband Marc, Nikki Jackson, and Sean Witten & wife Summer; great-grandchildren, Tyler Orlich, Travis Witten, Briesyn Milner, Bradley Stoehr, Missy Stoehr, Richard James Roy Milner, Madisyn Milner, Holle Keeth, Bubba Keeth, Ethin Witten, and Wyatt Witten; Roy's sister, Betty Young; and Betty's sisters, Veda Helm & husband Jimmie, of Albuquerque; and Helen Millwood, of Nashville, AR; special granddaughters, Antoinette Anderson-Keeth, Amanda Milner, Jenny Mitchell, and Hayley Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Sunny Lane Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
