Albert was the son of Ira Allen McBain and Melissa Louisa Smith.

On Sep 22, 1867 in Cambria, Michigan he married Mary Simonds, daughter of James M. & Hannah Simonds.

Their children were Charles H, Edna J, Percy, Helen Adell, Lena, Elmer Jesse, and Ira William. That is only 7, but she lists in 1900 and 1910 that she had 8 children with only 5 living.

His wife, Mary, died between 1910 and 1914.

On Jan 11, 1915 in St. Louis, Michigan he married Henrietta George. The marriage record appears to be saying her maiden name was Beard. One of the witnesses was an I.A. Beard.

I am going to assume that Lena and Percy died before 1900. They show up on the 1880 census and I have been unable to locate an eighth child.
