Lloyd Lynn Durnal, 63, passed peacefully on December 24, 2017, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

An extremely strong willed man who struggled mightily with the physical damage suffered by a major heart attack two years ago. He was upbeat about the future until a sudden additional health challenge took him home.

Lloyd Lynn was born October 4, 1954, to Lloyd Dee Durnal and Bonita Ruth (McCollum) Durnal, and he lived many lifetimes in his 63 years. His school years and those shortly thereafter were loaded with experiences that would make a great comedy/adventure story due to his willingness to live life on the edge. One example was his Toyota that he drove like a race car. Nights spent cruising the streets of Cabot riding/driving the old Ford Galaxie police car as a surrogate in place of the on-duty officer; old man Terry. He was full of mirth and the vinegar that makes a classmate legendary.

Graduate of Cabot High (Class of '72), volunteer in the U.S. Army (11B Infantryman), UALR (Radio/TV/Film major), gofer-owner-operator of Lloyd's Automatic Transmission Shop, employee of OSHA Safety Consulting, member of the Cabot Big Band (trumpet), The Gideon's International, and a long-time membership at Oak Grove First Baptist Church. He lived life in overdrive (often to the embarrassment of his family!) and had a passion for cars, motorcycles, boats, firearms, music, sci-fi, travel, and all things fun-related.

He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Susan, and their children Michelle Pressler (Jonathan) and Lloyd Dee Durnal. His legacy lives on through them and through his greatest joys – Poppa's babies – Hunter, Madison, Blake, Kaily, Allison, Logan, Sara, Mackenzie, Cole, Shiann, Dallas, Austin, Ashton, Braden, Jack, and Kennedy. Having never met a stranger, he also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.

To honor his wishes for a party rather than a funeral, a public End of Life Celebration is planned for Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Cabot (The Venue).
