Walter Krzanowski, 67, of Waffle Park, Coldwater, died Monday, July 8, 1985, at the Branch County Community Health Center shortly after his arrival. He was born in Chicago and moved to Sturgis in 1944. Krzancrwski left Sturgis in 1984 to spend winters in Zephyrhills, Fla., and summers in Coldwater. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles lodges. He retired in December 1980 from the Kirsch Co. in Sturgis where he had been a welder since 1945.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Killian Ludwick; daughters, Julia Baletnie of Hammond, Ind., and Barbara Zajac of St. John, Ind.; three grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Patricia Hyska of Branson, Carolyn Prough and Helene Hart, both of Coldwater, three stepsons; Phillip Ludwick of Rochester, Ind., Jake Ludwick of Lakeland, Fla., and Robert Ludwick of Missoula, Mont.; 26 step-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Krzanowski; sisters, Helen Rys and Emily Poradzisz all of Chicago.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Kubasiak-Kolcz Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Michigan Heart Association.
