He was preceded in death by his parents Odie P. Cox and Edna Green Cox.
Mr. Cox is survived by his brother, L.D. Cox of Indiana; sister, Mary Evelyn Chambers of Ohio; and wife of 60 years, Judith “Judy” Ruth Cox. Their union leaves three surviving children. Son, Robert Leroy “Toby” (Joan) Cox of Prattville; daughters, Connie Cox (Terry) Brown and Pamela Cox (Greg) Morgan of Demopolis; grandchildren, Amy (Adam) Keenum, Chad (Alyssa) Morgan, Ben Brown, Toni (Travis) Tyus, Parker (Nikki) Sanford, Dustin (Amy) Cox, Rob Brown, and Victoria (Hunter) LaPointe; 10 great-grandchildren; significant loved ones, nieces and nephews.
Robert was an active member of Fairhaven Baptist Church and retired after over forty years of service in Wastewater Treatment. He was a loving, caring Daddy and Popa to his family, and a good friend to those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
