Born Aug. 23, 1932, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Kringel) Comstock. She was educated in the Scranton schools, and before her retirement, she was employed by the Mid Valley Hospital in food service.
Gae was fun-loving and enjoyed visiting casinos. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her children, Frances Czyzyk and husband, Edward; Gae Roedel, Victoria Kizer, Salvatore Valenti and Richard Valenti and wife, Mary Lou, all of Scranton; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Gae was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Comstock; her sister, Lorraine Bachman; and her son-in-law, Tony Roedel, in November.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 4 p.m. in Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., Scranton, with the Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser as officiating clergy.
Friends may call Saturday from 3 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
