Officer Lawyer Allen, DSN 4768, received his commission on 06/03/1963. Upon completion of the academy he served in the following districts and specialized divisions throughout his career. They were the 8Th, 6Th, Criminal Investigation Division (C.I.D.), 6Th, Sex-Crimes-Child Abuse Section, and finally the Prisoner Processing Division. Officer Allen received one Chief's Letter of Commendation on 02/06/1965 for exceptional police work above the call of duty. Officer Lawyer Allen retired on 07/01/1994 having served 31.08 years of faithful and dedicated service to the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Officer Allen was a veteran of the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Airman 2nd Class.

Dearest husband of Brenda Allen and devoted father to Julie Allen.

Officer Allen was predeceased by his brother GYSGT Charles L. Allen, USMC retired.

Son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Lee A. and Argie L. (nee Bell) Allen.
