William A. "Bill" Andrews, 91, of Piedmont, Ala. passed away Monday, July 18, 2005. Mr. Andrews was a South Carolina native and had been a resident of Piedmont, Ala. since 1979. He was a member of Parker Grove Baptist Church in Centre, Alabama. Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Andrews; three sons, Tommy Andrews, Larry Andrews and Richard Andrews; and one grandson. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Billie and Benny Hutchison of Riverton, Wyoming; daughter, Donna Bass of Goshen, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Nina and Harvey Friend of Winder and a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Glenda Andrews of Cedartown. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Louie and Dink Andrews of North Carolina; and Sammy and Margaret Andrews; Fourteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held Tuesday, July 19 at 11 a.m. Central/Standard time in the chapel of the Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont, Ala. with the Rev. Ed Coogler officiating. Interment followed in Piedmont Memory Gardens. The local announcement was made for the family by the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, August 25, 2005)
