World War II Army veteran
WATERBURY — Mr. Albert F. Rosato, age 89, of 2171 East Main St., died Friday, March 23, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of the late Olga (Belka) Rosato and the late Lucille (Bingham) Rosato.
Mr. Rosato was born Aug. 24, 1917, in Waterbury, a son of the late Pacifico and Caterina (Pistacchio) Rosato. He was a machine operator for the Mattatuck Manufacturing Co. for several years before his retirement. Mr. Rosato was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of the Favale Generali Post 8 and was a sports enthusiast.
He leaves a daughter, Joan Cabelus and her husband, William Cabelus Sr., of New Britain; two brothers, Salvatore and Eugene Rosato, both of Waterbury; three grandchildren, Nancy Cabelus, William Cabelus Jr. and Joanna Repaci and her husband, David; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Michael and Raymond Rosato, and a sister, Stella Fratti, are deceased.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 26, at 10 a.m. at the Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
