John D. Fincannon Jr. passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, in Burleson. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. John was born Dec. 18, 1975, in Dallas to J.D. Sr. and Charlotte Hooks Fincannon. He was raised in Cedar Hill and graduated Cedar Hill, Class of 1994. John's first love was family, but enjoyed adult powerlifting. He was a member of the NASA Weightlifting Association, holding several state and world records. Survivors: Wife, Amy Fincannon of Burleson; sons, Avery and Gavin Fincannon; daughter, Abbey Cummings-Fincannon; parents, J.D. Sr. and Charlotte Hooks Fincannon of Laguna Park; sister, Cassey Nickell and husband, Jim; mother-in-law, Pam Jones; father-in- law, Maxey Jones; brother-in-law, Max Jones; nieces, Cesley and Emiley Beaty; and many other loving extended family and friends.
