Son of Horace Robinson and Beatrice Watson White Strickland. Served as:2ND LT US ARMY AIR FORCES WORLD WAR II. I believe he was a pilot but have no verification at this time. Gene had two brothers. He lost one of them - Richard Lee - in WWII - 30 Apr 1945 • Battle of Leyte Gulf, South Pacific.

Gene married Leona Nazell Trahan 22 Aug 1943 in Clayton, Union Co., NM. They had one daughter - Gloria Jean Strickland. In 1947, Leona was killed in an automobile accident.

Gene lived in Fredericksburg, TX at time of his death.
