OBITUARY
A Mass for Sister Elizabeth Ann Bishop, 64, formerly Sister Thomas Clare, of the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, will be at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday evening in Holy Family Chapel, Convent Station. Arrangements are by the William R. Dangler Funeral Home, Summit. Sister Elizabeth Ann died Wednesday in Sumter, S.C.
Born in Paterson, she entered the Sisters of Charity on Aug. 20, 1957 and had remained a member for 43 years.
Sister Elizabeth Ann studied hospital chaplaincy and served in various hospitals in New Jersey and elsewhere until 1997, when she took a medical sabbatical. Earlier, she had been a hospital minister in St. Joseph Hospital, Paterson, from 1977 through 1983.
She earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station. Sister Elizabeth Ann is survived by a twin sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Bode, and a brother, Thomas Weidanze.
