Bob was born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, the sixth child of seven born to Lydia and Elmer Williams. He was confirmed in the Lutheran church at the age of 13 and graduated from Ft. Dodge High School in the class of 1955. After serving in the Navy from 1955 to 1958, he earned a B.A. degree in accounting and economics from the University of Iowa in 1962. Bob proudly worked for the U.S. government for 30 years and considered this his service to his country. He is survived by his wife Barbara, 4 children, 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
