He was Baptized into Christ at Oak Grove Church of Christ.
Private services were held per his wishes on Sunday. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Haleyville.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karol Donaldson; daughters, Kim (Greg) Mitchell and Kaleisha “K.K.” Nelson; son, Joseph Craig (Lana) Donaldson; brother, Cener A. (Laura) Wilbanks; sister, Docie D. Dill; grandchildren, Kyle (Lexie) Donaldson, Dustin (Crystal Harris) Donaldson, Kayla Donaldson, Cody (Brooke) Mitchell, Conner Mitchell, and Layla Sartin; great-granchildren, Joseph Ellis Donaldson, Kaitlyn, Wyniger, and Brodie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Alice Donaldson; brothers, Don Donaldson, Orville Donaldson, Opton “Pete” Donaldson, Harold “Buck” Donaldson, and Troman Donaldson; Sister, Dorothy Taylor; Mother and Father-in-law, Harold and Idell Bass; and sister-in-law, Brenda Bass.
