Jimmy Lee Michel, age 88, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 1:14 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at his home. Jimmy was born February 15, 1928, in Marionville, Missouri, the son of the late Lewis and Velma (Rapp) Michel.

On September 29, 1949, he married Nora "Jackie" Sisco in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on August 6, 2015.

Jimmy and his wife started Jimmy Michel Motors in 1968, and he enjoyed working at the dealership with his wife, son and daughter-in-law.

He will be missed by one son, Tim (Rita) Michel of Springfield; one daughter, Libby (Bruce) Grisham of West Plains, Missouri; one brother, Charles Michel, of Coffeyville, Kansas; four grandchildren, Stacey (Chris) Vaught, Kami (Eric) Shoenberger, R.B. (Jackie) Grisham and Amy Grisham; seven great-grandchildren, Chad (Hailey), Bryant and Ashley Vaught, Emilie and Eric Jr. Shoenberger, Robert and Kellett Grisham.

His two sisters, Etta Lou Walker and Barbara Payne and one great-great granddaughter, Nora Grace Vaught, also preceded him in death.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Jody Davis, Jimmy's nurse.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Aurora, in care of the funeral home.
