In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Denton and her son Col. Jeffery Denton, and a son-in-law Larry Buchanan. She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Mike) Brown, and Jennifer Buchanan, a sister Gloria Armstrong, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
