Wayne George was born at Spring Valley, the son of Leonard Noel George and Della Mae (Karr) George. Wayne passed away December 30, 2017 at Springfield, MO at the age of 84 years.
Wayne was united in marriage to Maudelean Bland on April 22, 1953 at Salem, MO and to this union three children were born.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Noel and Della George and his wife Maudelean George.
Wayne is survived by one son Gregory George and wife Julie of Eminence, MO and their children Lindsey Evans and husband Lucas of Springfield, MO; and Mason Gregory Noel George; two daughters Marcia Hildebrand and husband Jerry of Ozark, MO and their two sons Joshua Hildebrand of Springfield, MO and Jerry Wayne Hildebrand and wife Tracy of Independence, MO and their children Riley, Ian, Issac Hildebrand; and daughter Jan Redfern and husband Greg of Springfield, MO; one sister Juanita Owens of Hereford, AZ and her daughter Monica Kendrick of Azela, OR.
Wayne graduated from Eminence High School in 1952. He was employed by the Missouri State Highway Department for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching their games. He enjoyed four-wheeling around his homestead at Spring Valley. He enjoyed cutting wood and selling it more as a hobby than employment. Wayne and Maudelean enjoyed traveling around the United States frequently.
Wayne’s final gift to many was as an eye/organ/tissue donor which will help many people in need.
