A. Maxine Evans, age 78, of Hamilton passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Evans was born on December 31, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan to Frank Quick and Mary (Fetter) Hart.

She married John Evans on August 31, 1962 in Virginia. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2010.

Mrs. Evans was a homemaker. She also worked in housekeeping at DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn for 15 years retiring in 1993. Maxine loved her cat Mr. Fuzzybuns.

Survivors include: Daughter and son-in-law; Mary and Henry Gingerich of Michigan Center, Michigan.
Daughter; Pam Swander of Angola.
Daughter; Cindy Evans and Ralph Fry of Hamilton.
Daughter and son-in-law; Jackie and John Burris of Hamilton.
10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Sister and brother-in-law; Colleen and Ron Lucas of West Point, Indiana.
Sister; Wilma Hampton of West Point.
Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; John Evans, a granddaughter; Brianna and 3 sisters; Jane Webb, Pat Dobbs and Linda.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Ronald Lucas.

Burial will take place at the Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton, Indiana.

Memorials may be directed to the DeKalb Humane Society, 5221 US 6 Butler, Indiana 46721.
