Living at 4029 Aberdeen Road in Nashville, Vallie was 71 years old and a widow when she died of a cerebral hemorrhage on October 7, 1953 at Mid-State Baptist Hospital, where she had been for a day. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison [city, not county].
