George Washington Frank, formerly a resident of Warsaw, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jennie Elmendorf in Lincoln, Neb., after a long illness, aged 75 years. He was born in Warsaw, Nov. 29, 1830, and made his home here until the early seventies, when he went to Corning, Iowa, and later to Kearney, Neb. One daughter, Mrs. Elmendorf, and 3 sisters, survive him; Mrs. J. E. Nassau of Mount Vernon, N.Y., Mrs. P.D. Brown of Oakland, Cal., and Mrs. E. K. Greene of Montreal, Canada. The interment will be in Warsaw, but what day is not known.
In 1854, George Frank married Miss Phoebe McNair. George and Phoebe had four children: Sarah (1855/6, died in infancy), Augustus (b. 1857), Jeanie (b. 1859) and George William (b. 1861).
