Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend, Aggie Roberts, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 11, 1923 to George Francis Phillips and Catherine Gwenddolyn Cowley. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Weber High School in 1941.

She worked for Ogden's Shupe Williams Candy Company, then moved to Tracy, California working for the Defense Depot. There she met her future husband and best friend, William K. Roberts (Bill). They were married on April 4, 1947 in Reno, Nevada. They moved to Ogden where they raised their five children. In 1971, the family was transferred to Fresno, California, where they both worked for the IRS. Mom retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of the LDS church.

She is survived by her five children; William K. (Janet) Roberts, Ogden, UT; Peggy Thomas, Fresno, CA; Stacie (Walt) Morris, West Weber, UT; John Roberts, Fresno, CA; Kyle Roberts, Fresno, CA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Sarlo and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and siblings; Lewis, Hal, Ruth, Kate, Ned, Margaret, Bob and Claire.

Mom was always dedicated to her family. There are no words to convey how deeply she will be missed. She was our sunshine!

We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses who cared for her over the years. Yet, no one could ever have been better caregivers than her own Fresno children; John, Kyle and Peg.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6-8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services.
