"Howard Gale Bailey, 76, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, January 5, 2018 at his home.
He was born July 9, 1941, in Irvine, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, H.J. Bailey and a sister, Ada Abbott. He retired from Columbia Utilities Commission in the Water Plant Operation, was a member of Russell Heights Baptist Church, where he played the piano for years, a member of the Singing Bailey Family and an accomplished musician, making music from any instrument. He served in the National Guard during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include:
His wife – Julia Neat Bailey of Columbia
His daughter & son-in-law – Missy and Shane Garmon of Columbia
His mother – Glydus Bailey of Columbia
Three brothers – Junior Bailey and his wife Sue, Bill Bailey and his wife Dorthy, Danny Bailey and his wife Linda all of Columbia
One sister – Irene Harmon of Glens Fork
Two grandsons – Trey and Tanner Garmon
One great-granddaughter – Aubree Rey Garmon
Several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Puteet and Bro. Vitis Bailey officiating

Burial in New Hope Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Monday

In lieu of flowers, donations of Gideon Bibles would be appreciated. These may be made at the funeral home
