McMULLEN, Dorothy E. La Rowe Jacobs 99, died peacefully at home January 3, 2018. Dorothy was born February 8, 1918 in Locke Township, Michigan. She was the last of five children born to Grace and Erwin La Rowe. Dorothy was a proud lifelong member and a past worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #221 of Perry and Owosso Michigan. Dorothy worked closely with her first husband and after his death did some oil drilling on her own in Michigan and Ohio for a couple of years before retiring to Florida. After her marriage to her second husband, she was a member of the Leading Ladies in Clearwater. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Marjorie Miller, Helen Turner, Russell La Rowe, and Donald La Rowe. Dorothy survived two loving husbands. Benjamin Jacobs died in 1970 and Birton McMullen in 1996. She is survived by many step grandchildren from her first marriage and survived by two stepchildren from her second marriage, Pamela of Boulder, CO and Jeffrey E. (Margaret) of Atlanta, GA; also three step-grandchildren, Christopher Dow, Delaney and Betsy McMullen. Dorothy is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children. Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm Monday, January 8, at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Dunedin Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm immediately following visitation. Dorothy will be interred at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater.
