Born on May 17, 1930 at Westernport, MD, she was a daughter of the late Addie Carson and Leona Royal (Moreland) Gentry. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Lewis and a brother, Leroy Gentry.
Mrs. Simone was formerly employed with Astro Communications, formerly located in the Keyser Industrial Park. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Queen's Point Memorial Post # 6775, VFW, McCoole, MD.
Surviving is her son, James R. Simone, Jr. of Keyser; three sisters, Pauline Blacka of New Creek, WV and Jean Alt and Retha Swick, both of Fountain, WV; five grandchildren, Meredith Simone, James "Bubby" Simone, III, Brittany Simone, Briana Simone and Dillon Simone and five great-grandchildren, Theriot "Rio", Judah, Olivia, Milo and Tucker.
A committal service will be conducted at the Potomac Memorial Gardens Mausoleum on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Shoemaker officiating.
Entombment will follow.
