Constance B. Yeatter, age 77 of Medina, passed away January 8, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 29, 1940 to the late Herbert C. and Sigrid M. (Sundstrom) Wagner.
Connie was the head cashier at Claggett Middle School for 28 years. She loved her job and was loved by the students, often being recognized outside of school throughout the community. She received a Distinguished Service Award from Medina City Schools in 2000 that read ”Your positive attitude, sincerity, and friendly smile have brightened the day for many students throughout the years.” Connie enjoyed bowling, traveling to casinos and she had a beautiful collection of perfume bottles. She loved spending time with her loved ones on the front porch.
Connie is survived by her children Julie (Carl) Horner and John (Jennifer) Yeatter, Jr; longtime companion Darrell Jenkins; grandchildren Rachael (fiancé Zachary Vannoy) Hawkins, Mitchell Hawkins, and Jacob and Kyle Yeatter; brother Richard (Joan) Wagner; her sister Judith (Robert) Seguin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John J. Yeatter.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 3:30 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina 44256. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 on Thursday before the service at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina Co., 5075 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
