JD Eads, 82, of Adger, AL passed away January 6, 2018. He was a member of Dogwood Grove Baptist Church. JD retired from Western Sling and Cable Company of Bessemer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He also attended Auburn University.
JD was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Eads and his brothers, Ellis, Letus and Doyle Eads.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lillian Eads; his sons, James (Gail) Cherry and Floyd Cherry; his daughters, Patsy Sullins, Ann (Mike) Bigham, Lynn Snow and Faye Byrd; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and his sisters, Cora Lee Weeks and Dorothy (Joe) Johnson.
Funeral service will be Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home. Mr. Eads will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Winfield City Cemetery. Rev. Dave Sims will be officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home.
