Dr. John L. Glomset, Jr., 70, passed away on March 26, 2007 in Oklahoma City. He was born April 25, 1936 in OKC to Dr. John and Thelma Glomset. John grew up in OKC and attended OU and OU Medical School. He did his medical residency in New York City, but came back to Oklahoma to practice medicine. Dr. Glomset practiced as an ear, nose, and throat specialist at Southwest Medical Center for 34 years. Outside of medicine, John enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was a private pilot. He especially loved the Blue River. Dr. Glomset was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, John Trey Glomset, Elizabeth Glomset, Kara Petterson, Kristi Blumstein, and Kyle Lemon; 6 grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Smith; mother and father-in law, Willis and Tana Stokes; and many other extended family members and friends. The family extends many thanks to the staff of Epworth Villa Flora Deen Martin Green Neighborhood. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
