London, England, Extracted Church of England Parish Records, John Eaton married Ann, the widow of Crossman, late of Ipswich, Suffolk Co, at St Bennet, Paul's Wharf, London, on December 26, 1621.

U.S. and Canada, Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s, John Eaton arrived in Watertown, Mass, in 1635.

U.S. and Canada, Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s, John Eaton arrived in Salisbury, Mass in 1640.

From a north american family history book:

John Eaton, with his wife Anne and six children, two sons and four daughters, is known to have been in Colchester, now known as Salisbury as early as "ye 26th of ye 6th mo. 1640 when they were granted to him two acres, more or less for his house lott, lying between the house lotts of Mr. Samuel Hall and Ralfe Blesdale." Said to be equally distant between the Atlantic and the Merrimac.

He remained there about six years when he removed to Haverhll, 15 miles up the river, when he received a deed of land dated November 25, 1646.

The children may have been:
John b 1619, settled in Salisbury, married Martha Rowlandson
Ensign Thomas b 1618, settled in Haverhill, married 1 Martha Kent, 2 Unice Singletery, daughter of Richard of Salisbury
Anne b 1622 married George Brown and removed to Haverhill
Elizabeth b 1625 married James Davis
Ruth b 1628 married John Ingalls
Esther (Hester) b 1634 d 1649.

11/22/2020 - FAG Contributor: Sandy Morrey (46881391) has provided the following information, which conflicts with the information received above from another FAG'er:
" I think that the information for John and Anne's marriage in London is not THIS John and Anne. THIS John and Anne married about 1618 in Hatton, Warwickshire, England. THIS John was born before 26 Dec 1590 in England, probably in Hatton, where he was baptised. He also married in Hatton. THIS John was not in London, and did not marry in London. So many people in England have the SAME NAME, but are in different places; it makes it VERY challenging for us to distinguish between them. Please consider changing this bio to reflect John's actual residence in Hatton, not London. Thank you. "
Sandy Morrey also suggested that John Eaton died in Haverhill, Essex Co, Mass, on 29 Oct 1668, but has not provided a source.

12/7/2020 - FAG Contributor: Sandy Morrey (46881391) has sent an edit suggestion to add the following information: birth - 26 Dec 1590 in Hatton, Warwick District, Warwickshire, England death - 29 Oct 1668 in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States of America, but has not provided a source, and so I have declined the edit, but include the information here so that other researchers may see it and vet it themselves.

12/7/2020 - FAG Contributor: Sandy Morrey (46881391) has again sent an edit request citing Web: Netherlands, GenealogieOnline Trees Index, 1000-2015. Other online trees are not an acceptable source, in my opinion.

1/15/2021 - Once again FAG Contributor: Sandy Morrey (46881391) has sent an edit request to add the following information: birth - 26 Dec 1590 in Hatton, Warwick District, Warwickshire, England death - 29 Oct 1668 in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States of America, but has not provided a source, and so I have declined the edit, again. Today I have spent a considerable amount of time looking at Web: Netherlands, GenealogieOnline Trees Index, 1000-2015, online trees for John Eaton, to ascertain what source those trees have used, but have not found a source.
