Stollenwerk, Joan Violet (Hagel), - 83, of Mullica Twp., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2018. She grew up in Cologne, NJ and lived most of her life in Mullica Twp., NJ. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones and friends, but we know she is at peace with our Lord. Joan lived for 70 years with juvenile diabetes, which, along with age, ultimately weakened her heart and clogged her arteries, even though she had always been so very careful to control her blood sugar levels as much as humanly possible, along with the strength only God can give. Joan will be fondly remembered for her caring heart and concern for others, her love for her family and her love for God's creation-especially the deer, wild turkeys and other birds that she fed and loved to watch. Her home was indeed a sanctuary for wildlife. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Ferdinand Hagel and Eleanor (MacDonald) Hagel; her brother, Ferdinand Hagel (survived by his wife, Elaine); and her husband, Hubert F. Stollenwerk. Joan is survived by her daughter, Desiree Flath (Ray); grandson, Daniel Flath; her sister, Carol Page; her brother, David Hagel, Sr. (Darlene); her nephews, David Hagel, Jr. (Eri) and Scott Hagel; and her nieces, Danielle Hagel and Robin Hagel; as well as, her brothers in law, Robert Stollenwerk (predeceased by his wife, Nancy), Lawrence Stollenwerk (Gina) and her half-brothers in law, Matthew Stollenwerk(Diane), Francis Stollenwerk(John) and James Stollenwerk (Roseann).
