Jane Jones of Lindsay was born on December 25, 1934 in Westminster, Texas to Edgar Rufus Harrell and Pearly Mae (Cox) Harrell. She passed from this life on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her home at the age of 83 years.
Jane grew up in Lindsay, Oklahoma and lived there most of her life, with the exception of 20 years in Tipton, Oklahoma, and 7 years in Dallas, Texas, until she made Lindsay her final home in 1990. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them and anyone else who might visit her. She would open her house to anyone who needed it. Jane enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren, cards with her weekly group, and Wa-Hoo. She liked to sew and crochet. She loved her church and church family at the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church. Jane will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Her survivors include her son, Johnny Jones and wife Kathy of Arlington, Texas.
Brothers: Ronny Harrell, and wife JoAnn, Lonnie “Buddy” Harrell, and Robert Harrell, Sr. and wife Wilma, all of Lindsay.
Seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
And many other relatives and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Pearly Harrell; her husband, Edward Isaac Jones; daughter, Edra Baker; a grandson, Leonard Reed II; brother, Billy Don Harrell; and sisters, her twin, Janet Bounds, Joyce Lewis, and Loyce Speers.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, January 15, 2018 at Winans Funeral Home, 405 Sixth Street (Hwy 19), Maysville, OK.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Lindsay with Bro. Randy Hugo and Robert Harrell, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
