Obituary for Robert B. Carnes, Jr.
78, of Louisville, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, January 15, 2018 at The Richwood in LaGrange.

He was born March 4, 1939 in Mt. Washington, KY to the late Robert B. Carnes, Sr. and Louise Whitehouse Carnes Lucas.

Robert was employed by CSX/L&N Railroad for over 34 years. He was the manager of damage prevention claims and derailments.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Cornell and Bertha Moore.

Robert is survived by his two children, Kevin Carnes (Alice) and Beth Ferullo (Paul); six grandchildren, Jackson, Caroline, Henry, Gracie and George Carnes and Alison Ferullo siblings, Wanda Lowther (Gary), John Carnes (Becky) and Myra Williams (John) and two brothers-in-law, Frank Cornell and Curtis Moore.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 19th at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, “in St. Matthews”. There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. Burial will be private and take place at a later date in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
