Madalyn was born on March 18, 1928 in Crosby County to Millard and Ovie Grears Bowers. She married Clyde Crump on January 16, 1948 in Crosby County; they were married for 70 wonderful years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ralls where she taught Sunday school for many years and was on the bereavement committee for many years. Madalyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be sorely missed.
Madalyn is preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Jay Crump, a granddaughter Jennifer Rowin, and a great grandson Cy Crump.
She is survived by her husband Clyde Crump of Ralls, a daughter Diane Davis and husband Bill of Lubbock, two sons; Don Crump and wife Brenda of Ralls, Dale Crump and wife Lori of Ralls, one brother; Wade Bowers and wife Betty of Mesquite, one sister; Evelyn Stone and husband Jim of Hattiesburg MS, eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to her friends and caregivers Elena Gutierrez, Ester Rojas, and Josie Valasquez. The family suggest donations to the First Baptist Church Bereavement fund or favorite charity.
