Va. was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Sonny" Smith; parents, James and Mattie Williams Evans; sisters, Alice English, Nellie Mae Evans; brother, Charles Evans; and daughters, Drema D. Evans and Mary J. Smith. Dorothy was a longtime member of Eagle Central Baptist Church of Eagle, WV. She is survived by her sons, Artie White, Larry Evans, Gary Evans, Granville Smith, brother, James Evans, Jr. and sister, Beverly Ann Evans.
